Boba Fett - Large Copyright

This Harbert 21 back appears to be the first appearance of the Large Copyright Hong Kong Boba.

There are 2 different versions of this COO and later there were matching No COO versions for each found on Trilogo cards. They also mix&match.

In addition to the unique COO, you will find that the entire Boba is different than any others. The quickest key point to look for is the extra "nub" on the top of the yellow wrist. The Large Copy/HK does NOT have this extra nub.

On the same arm, you find other key points. The shoulder will have 4 mini squares.

You will also find both the "square" and "triangle" mold area below.

The red wrist is also different. The triangle are on the top is much thinner and does not go to the edge of it's base.

Another point on the red wrist is how high the red is painted up. (All Large Copy/HK)

As far as cardback numbers go. The next cardback to have this figure was the Palitoy 45 Back. This cardback has a lot of debate of being re-carded. But this Bubble and Figure combo has always been considered the real version. You can find this figure w/ Toy Toni Bubble suspects.

Same figure on Toni suspect card.

Another Toni example sold by Vectis. You can tell by the watch in the reflection. This is also the TT example shown on Mr. Palitoy's site.

The next card the figure shows up on is ROTJ 65 (Emperor offer)  This version has the "triangle" mold on yellow wrist.

Version with "square" mold on yellow wrist.

This is the last of the HK versions. Below is one of at least three Droids versions (1 Black & 2 Brown Belts). Again you will both yellow wrist mold variations.

Here is version with triangle mold.

The NO Coo version of this figure is found on Trilogo cards. A very common way to pick out this figure is a bump on the inner left thigh. However there is a version found on Trilogo cards without and can have either Square or Triangle mold.

Comparing other Harbert examples, both the Brown Belt and Dark Brown Belt version on found on the card. Each appear to have the triangle wrist and mostly painted red wrist.

These Bobs's are found on many Droids cards. The Blaster is pointing up, while the Taiwan version points down. Also the early display versions of this MOC were marked Made in Hong Kong.

For collectors, both Loose and MOC, this is where everything goes sideways.

There was the Toy Toni scandal that upset things a few years back.

The main thing to make a collector think they are fake is from a rumor that someone had purchased 1,000s of cardbacks and then made fake re-cards using real figures, real weapons, real bubbles and real cards.

This is very common in all card lines.

What is the "Trilogo & Meccano Fett"?

If you beleive the Toy Toni story, this is the only card the PBP Black Belt "Trilogo" version is found on.

If you do not beleive the story (or already spent $1k on this) . The Black Belt is also found on Toy Toni suspects. Also sold by Vectis (note the watch in reflection) ...Note the grading is wrong, calling it a 65 back.

This is the other figure that is very commonly called a "Trilogo" , is the Meccano Brown belt version. This was never found on Trilogo cards, but you can find on Fakes, not TT, just very clear fakes.

This figure is only found on Meccano Retour 45/ 65 cards.

You can find the highly sought after Bi-tone belt (unpainted knee/painted dart)  versions on Ireland 3-pack cards. You find will a mix Belt, knee, dart paints. Marked Made in Macau , but condidered to be random country name added and the figures are "Palitoy" overstock.

I personally don't think the Brown Belt version should be sold as or called "Trilogo". But PBP or Meccano if anything.

So far the only figure Only found on Trilogo cards is the Large Copy/No Coo version. The front of the card shows US(Palitoy) , PBP and Meccano Logos. The back mentions Palitoy, GM Germany, PBP, Miro-Meccano & Clipper. The No coo version without bump on inner thigh has still not been discovered on card yet.

The Bubble style is why people think it is a Meccano. But you will notice the "Meccano Bubble" will change to fit other "confimed" variants.

Example of Triangle yellow wrist.
